Dr. Marta Soprana
Dr. Marta Soprana is a researcher and trade policy advisor, with over fifteen years of experience in the EU, UK, Switzerland and Southeast Asia.
She worked as a consultant for several international organizations (including WTO, ITC, UNCTAD, UNESCAP, FAO and the World Bank) and advised a few developing countries and LDCs in East Africa, Oceania and Southeast Asia primarily on services regulation and commitments, e-commerce negotiations and trade policy formulation, including through bespoke training. She also worked in academia, with research and teaching positions at Bocconi University and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Her primary interests are trade policy, services, digital trade, AI regulation, and emerging technologies.
She holds a PhD in Legal Studies cum laude from Bocconi University, a Master in International law and Economics (MILE) summa cum laude from the World Trade Institute in Bern, and a MA in International Relations from the University of Bologna.
