María Victoria Bruno

María Victoria Bruno is a multilingual international lawyer with over a decade of experience advising governments, international organizations, and institutions on public policy and regulatory matters. Currently an independent consultant, she specializes in international trade law and policy, focusing on trade in services, investment, digital trade, government procurement, and inclusive and sustainable trade. For instance, she advised the Integration and Trade Sector of the Inter-American Development Bank on trade policy issues, including digitalization and e-commerce. She also has extensive experience designing and delivering training programs for government officials on international economic law and trade negotiations and leads professional development initiatives at Trade Experettes.


Previously, she was a trade negotiator and served as Director of International Regulations and Disciplines at Argentina’s Ministry of Production, coordinating the Ministry’s teams in FTA and BIT negotiations. She participated in Argentina’s FTA negotiations with Chile, Mexico and Peru, and MERCOSUR’s negotiations with the EU, EFTA, Canada, Korea and Singapore, as well as in Argentina’s BIT negotiations with Japan and the UAE. Her earlier expertise spans sovereign debt litigation and settlements, international project financing and institutional strengthening projects.

Victoria holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a master’s in International Economics and Politics from San Andrés University.
